Backup...

The other day my friend called me at 3 in the night.. No wonder he is in India so it's no big surprise for me..
Our conversation goes as below...

Me: (Totally sleepy and almost pissed offfff) ... Hhheeeelllloooooo
Prem Pujari: Hello, Soya hia..???
Me: Nahi bol.
Prem Pujari: Arre soya hai to bol, baad main call karta hoon...
Me:  *&$@%$!^&$#  ... Bol naaaa
Prem Pujari: She broke up with me..
Me:... wtf ... !!!   (sitting up in the bed wide awake.. )

 This friend of mine was in relation with this girl for past 5 years. They seemed to be a cute couple and loked sweet, destined to marry each other... and start their own small family... I mean, I would assume that without thinking, after a couple has been in a relationship for 5 long years. Ohhhh God that's a long time..

Friend: Yes,that bitch dumped me ...  
Me:  Errrrr...what happened ? (I didn't know how to react at 3 in the night ... .. i was sleepy..  I was confused how can their partner who was once a sweetheart turn out to be a bitch suddenly.. )
Friend: She dumped me for another guy. Where did it go wrong..  (sob sob). I am so hurt internally
Me: Yeah .. yeah .I understand.. (although I didn't as I had never experienced this situation personally.. )

I was never well trained at offering condolences or any similar stuff of that sort. I could listen to people buzz about "LOVE" for hours with  :|  expression on my face  ,  followed by occasional hmmmm, achaa.. , okay in between.

Friend: No, you don't understand, you will never understand. She dumped me. She told me when she found new guy and told me today. She said we cannot be together any longer....How can she say that ...(sob .. sob)
Me: OKAY.. (half asleep... zzzZZZZzzzzzZZZZ)
Friend: At the end, I parted her with tears in my eyes saying goodbye with a heavy heart. I asked her,"So is there any another guy in your life?" She replied," Darling, you were always the other one, always my BACKUP..."
Me:  (ROFLLLL...LOLZZZ... )  Ohhhh (I could not control my emotions and laugh on his face, but I seriously fell off my bed laughing my ass offfff) Don't worry,everything will be ok. Dude, I told you .. forget love, I need to sleep, I will call you in the morning. Bye ( and hung up the phone... )

Love for that matter has to be blind... or you have to be too foolish to realize that there is any "OTHER" guy in their life for past I don't know how many years...I wonder how many BACKUPS can anybody have in their life... Anyways, life moves on.. but "OTHER GUY... BACKUP... ".. LOLZZZZZ.. ROFL..
